At the market

Farmer's markets are always the first thing I tend to seek out in a new town or city. Whether I'm there for business or pleasure, a few days or a few weeks. San Francisco has one of the nicest Farmers Markets, in my opinion. Housed in the Beaux-Arts style Ferry building, dating back to 1898, the market centralises around the unique boutiques inside. On Saturdays, the surrounding outdoor space is crammed with hundreds of produce vendors selling locally grown fruits and veges, with an emphasis on seasonal and organic products.

A colourful city

San Francisco is, without a doubt, one of my favourite cities. The juxtaposition of so many elements, joining together to make one unique, and compact city.
High fashion meets hipster vintage; fine dining or food trucks? Boutique hole-in-the-wall niche businesses teeming with entrepreneurs, craftsmen and artisans. Dingy retro dive bars meet 1920's style Speakeasy's.

Famous for its many hills, there is always a grand place on which to view the many neighbourhoods of the city, or to pop above the relentless summer fogs, or watch the clouds pass high above.

I'm proud to be able to call this my home, if even for just a short time.
